RELEASE: Fitzpatrick Statement on FBI’s Clinton Report

DOYLESTOWN, PA – Brian Fitzpatrick, former FBI Supervisory Special Agent and national supervisory in the FBI’s Political Corruption Unit, released the following statement Friday regarding the FBI’s report on the investigation into Hillary Clinton’s use of a private email server:

“With the release of this report there is no doubt that former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s use of a private email server put American information in danger. The FBI’s findings unequivocally prove that ‘hostile foreign actors’ gained access to email accounts of those whom Clinton was in regular contact with on her non-secured server and, therefore, ‘emails sent or received by Clinton on her personal account.’ This after the FBI and others have brought up additional ethical concerns about her deletion of emails and appearance of a pay-to-play scheme with the Clinton Foundation.

As a former FBI special agent who investigated and arrested corrupt politicians – and, moreover, as an American – I find Hillary Clinton’s actions and shortcomings an affront to every citizen who believes our leaders should be honest and held to the same standards as everyone else.

It’s no wonder more than half of all Americans find Hillary Clinton ‘dishonest’ and ‘untrustworthy’ – yet career Harrisburg politician Steve Santarsiero has refused to label her as such, going as far as saying she ‘passes the credibility threshold’ to be president. What will it take for Steve Santarsiero to level with the American people and answer if he thinks Hillary Clinton is honest?”
