ENDORSEMENT: State Troopers Endorse Brian Fitzpatrick for Congress

DOYLESTOWN, PABrian Fitzpatrick, former FBI Supervisory Special Agent and federal prosecutor, has been endorsed by Fraternal Order of Police Lodge 40 – representing Pennsylvania State Troopers in Bucks, Lehigh and Northampton counties.

“The men and women of Lodge 40 voted Monday, October 10th, 2016 to support Brian Fitzpatrick in his bid to seek election to Congress. Brian Fitzpatrick has been a stalwart in his support for law enforcement in Pennsylvania,” said Harry R. Dannehower III, president of FOP Lodge 40. “We are confident that Brian Fitzpatrick will continue to work to ensure the safety of those who live and work in Bucks and Montgomery Counties and beyond.”

Fitzpatrick has previously been endorsed by the Pennsylvania Fraternal Order of Police, including Bucks Co. Lodge 53 and Montgomery Co. Lodge 14. The Pennsylvania Fraternal Order of Police represents nearly 40,000 law enforcement members from across the Commonwealth.

“As a member of the law enforcement community – both as a prosecutor and an FBI agent – I know first-hand the vital importance our law enforcement play in keeping our communities safe and appreciate the selfless service they carry out each day,” said Fitzpatrick upon the FOP’s endorsement. “I’m running for Congress because I believe every American family deserves security and opportunity. In townships and boroughs across our district, it’s our local law enforcement officers who work tirelessly to protect those rights. To receive the support of thousands of Bucks and Montgomery county’s finest is humbling.”

For nearly a decade and a half, Fitzpatrick served as a Special Agent with the Federal Bureau of Investigations where his focus was fighting political corruption and supporting global counter-terrorism efforts. He served as the National Director for the FBI’s Campaign Finance and Election Crimes Enforcement Program, as well as a national supervisor for the FBI’s Political Corruption Unit where he traveled the world to promote democracy and was recognized as an expert in restoring integrity to governmental institutions. For his work, Fitzpatrick was an inaugural recipient of the FBI Director’s Leadership Award. Prior to joining the FBI, Fitzpatrick served as a Special Assistant United States Attorney, prosecuting violent drug and gun offenders to stem the tide of abuse and violence.

Fitzpatrick has made security a keystone issue of his campaign for Congress and has been an outspoken advocate for ensuring federal, state and local law enforcement has all the tools necessary to keep us safe.
