RELEASE: Santarsiero Calls Clinton FBI Investigation ‘Nonissue’

DOYLESTOWN, PA – Brian Fitzpatrick, former FBI special agent and federal prosecutor, released the following statement Saturday in response to PA Rep. Steve Santarsiero’s comment calling the FBI’s investigation of Hillary Clinton’s illegal email server a “nonissue:”
“For someone who speaks so highly about his ‘independence’, it’s disappointing career politician Steve Santarsiero is so afraid of his liberal party bosses and big-dollar donors that he can’t find it in himself to criticize his endorsed candidate even when she is under continued FBI investigation. Santarsiero’s statement that Sec. Clinton’s actions – which have endangered our national security and contributed to the disintegration in trust in government – are a ‘nonissue’ or simply a ‘mistake’ is offensive to those he wants to represent and shows his true stripes as a partisan politician more concerned with himself than the realities we face as a nation. Bucks and Montgomery counties deserve better.”
After being born and raised in Levittown, Brian Fitzpatrick spent nearly a decade and a half serving as a Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) Supervisory Special Agent where his focus was fighting political corruption and supporting global counter terrorism efforts – including as a part of Operation Iraqi Freedom. He served as the National Director for the FBI’s Campaign Finance and Election Crimes Enforcement Program, as well as a national supervisor for the FBI’s Political Corruption Unit. For his work, Fitzpatrick was an inaugural recipient of the FBI Director’s Leadership Award and named “Investigator of the Year” by the Federal Law Enforcement Foundation. Additionally, as a Special Assistant U.S. Attorney, Fitzpatrick, prosecuted violent drug and gun offenders to stem the tide of abuse and violence. Brian Fitzpatrick is a Certified Public Accountant, certified Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) and an Eagle Scout.
