DOYLESTOWN, Pa– The Transport Workers Union of America has endorsed Brian Fitzpatrick for reelection to Congress to represent Pennsylvania’s 1st District. Both Rep. Brian Fitzpatrick and TWU International President, John Samuelsen, released the following statements regarding the endorsement.
“Now more than ever it is imperative we stand up and fight for our essential workers who have been tirelessly working for our community. I am committed to supporting our transportation system and all the members who we rely to keep it running,” said Rep. Brian Fitzpatrick.
The Transport Workers Union of America represents over 150,000 members across the airline, railroad, transit, universities, utilities, and services sectors.
“In the face of the ongoing pandemic, our members are especially appreciative of your tireless efforts to protect essential workers. You have been a vocal proponent of ensuring all essential workers receive the necessary personal protective equipment to be safe and healthy on the job. You have repeatedly led your colleagues in actions to provide emergency funds for transit agencies, airlines, and Amtrak in order to keep our transportation systems running and our members on the job,” said TWU International President, John Samuelsen.
